After a long flight arrived at Honeys only to be told they had no details of our reservation.We booked and paid for it in September. Finally got a room which was poor quality. It looked nothing like the brochure or web site picture or even like the one we looked at on our previous visit to Samui.Told them we were not happy and that we paid for .a deluxe room Asked to change, receptionist was very unhelpful and told us there was not any more rooms available. This was not true as during our stay we noticed most of the other rooms were empty. It is a shame as we enjoyed our holiday and the rest of the staff were excellent and helpful. The hotel is in a really good location, right on the beach. The rooms were spacious and kept very clean and fresh. Small but pleasant pool. Staff in the hotel were helpful and responsive. The cooked parts of the breakfast were not good, which put us off eating there in the evening. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

My sister in law and I came to Koh Samui for a wedding. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai and Chaweng. Cheong Mon is a lovely beach and area to stay. Samui Honey cottages is pretty good. Initially we were booked here for 4 days and were going to move north a bit more for the next 4 days. However, we have found that the benefits of this area have made us stay the full 8 days. Costing 2000 baht for 4 nights, I find it a little pricey however, the rooms get cleaned every day, we get two bottles of water daily, breakfast, aircon, small but lovely pool and helpful staff. I would like it if the staff were a little better at understanding/speaking English it cydia to them. Ecause my Thai is non existant. I am giving it 3 for value for money because i do think that AUD$60 a night is too much. I would recommend highly though. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Situated on Choeng Mon Beach this hotel gives you the oppertunity to relax. Though the rooms seems a lit bit worn it is clean (towels and linnen are changed every day)and the tidyness is the sorroundings has a high standard. The staff is also smiling and helpful. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I was really impressed by the staff at the Honey Cottages, who seemed genuinely pleased to help you. The cottages are run like a family firm and indeed a lot of them are nephews of the owner, Sam,and are great guys to a man. The bungalows are clean, roomy and great value. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Disappointing - not worth the rate we paid: Day 1: checked in after 3pm - they showed us to the wrong room (cheaper room not facing the beach); had to wait for half an hour to get a better room prepared. Had 3 hours of not electricity and no water (a few hotels affected) Day 2: Came back at nearly 4pm after the day out, they were just cleaning the room - soap etc not replenished, room not properly swept. No water for more than an hour just after we returned Day 3: room not thoroughly cleaned. Overall: - very average bathroom, not very well maintained - small room, very little space to hang clothes, towels etc - light, a little soiled white curtains, so forget about sleeping in after sunrise. We spent much time researching Samui hotels - rates and reviews were good; so this was a real let-down [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Room and staff were excellent. Wifi excellent. Breakfast mainly good. I would have liked a social area, but the bar was not comfortable due to unpleasant beat music. It was usually nearly empty, so other people may think the same. The music from next door cafe was even more unpleasant and rather spoiled the lounge chair area. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed at. Not that the room are extraordinary, but the atmosphere and the hospitaly are best. The resturang have very fresh and good food. Very nice placed cottages close to a quite ok beach. The bar at the hotel insist on playin music every day from 10 am until 11 pm which is very sad. ( This is the only hotel around the beach that does this.) The room needs refurbishment and feels now rather overpriced. Brekfast is kind of boring. Very nice food at the restaurant though. The bar at the hotel is terribly overpriced. Staff is nice and friendly

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Honey Cottages the 1st being in 2008 this year we brought all the family we love the place great surroundings, everything we need, and from the bar staff, to the cleaners to the receptionists, excellent service, food delicious. I have the greatest respect for the Thai people you can only be happy when you are with them,we could learn a great deal about hospitality from them. Wonderful holiday

This is a very nice hotel with a group of delightful cottages right on a quiet beach. The staff were friendly and helpful - for example, they noticed we had been putting on pajamas on some cool evenings and then brought us a light duvet for the bed - very thoughtful. Choeng Mon beach is a fantastic location if you want to live on a quieter beach. Unfortunately the weather wasn t great when we stayed there and we couldn t lie on the beach (it was cloudy and rainy) and in that case there isn t that much to do. The hotel bungalow was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly! For something extra I recommend dinner at Sala Samui a bit further up the beach! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

good for the price, located on a quite beach (which could be much nicer if the resort owners along it kept it tidy....but that seems to be an issue all around thailand!). the resort is starting to look a bit dated, but rooms were clean. staff s english is not too good (but again that is an issue across thailand at these level of resorts). close enough to everything, but far enough away from chewang. My word, what a find. If we had 10 boxes to tick, the Honey Cottages ticked 15 of them! An amazing small friendly resort right at the waters edge situated on what we feel was the best beach remaining on Samui. Staff are fantastic, lovely Restaurant and bar right on the beach. Stunning Sea veiw s from our cottage. Good basic accomodation with a personal touch including everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. Cant wait to return!

It is not easy to find, the street is very bad, but the resort and its location is very good. The beach is very beautiful, but not much good for swimming because of some rocks in the water. Opposit of the Beach is a small Island which can be reached by walking. The water is not deep. The Bungalow was clean and beautiful. Breakfast and Restaurant is directly on the Beach. Booked a garden bungalow in this hotel; it was clean and a nice size, with a good bathroom. Bedroom had a TV, safe, mini bar, and you got 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water every day. Breakfast was included in the Honey Seafood restaurant at the end of Choeng Mon beach. The grounds of the hotel were nice and lush, and directly on the beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Very nice place to stay at, with very friendly staff. We had a reservation for four nights, but we stayed six nights instead because we loved the place. The beach was wonderful and peaceful and only 20 meters away from our garden view room. The breakfast was not good, but you can live with that because everything else was perfect.

This was a great spot. We enjoyed the beach with it s breezes and the water was very nice. We had a beach view room which was quite nice but the garden view rooms would also be nice. Meals at the restaurant were good so I would recommend getting breakfast included. If you want to see more of the island it will cost lots by cab so I recommend renting a car or motorcycle - very reasonable.

The room was clean and tidy and well presented. Staff were very helpfull. It should be noted though that the COMPULSORY new years eve banquet ThB$2000 pp was not very nice. Nice bungalow. Beatiful view. It was very big waves and blowy so we couldn´t swim. At the breakfast that was included you could choose two things from a breakfastmeny. Ex coffe and toast. Not a breakfastbuffet that it was at the other hotel. There were not many people at the hotel and felt desolate.The hotelstaff said it was low season. Longer from chaweng than we had expected. We were given a bungalow right with perfect sea view even though we booked one with garden view . We loved our little cottage. The room was quite big. Our windows were big so the sea view was perfect. The room I had came with a safe. Quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly but cannot really speak english that well. Breakfast was satisfactory. One problem we had with the whole place was it somehow lacked the atmosphere. Even though the hotel was fully booked, we could hardly see anyone around. The beach was ok, but there were many twigs and corals washed ashore. The sand is rough compared to Chawang beach. If only this hotel can situate itself in Chaweng beach..... We had a nice time nonetheless.
